A tragic late-night shooting in Suisun City has left two people dead and prompted an active homicide investigation by local authorities.

According to the Suisun City Police Department, officers responded shortly after 9:44 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, to reports of gunfire in the 1100 block of School Street. When they arrived at an apartment complex parking lot, they found an adult male and an adult female suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Emergency responders immediately attempted lifesaving measures, including CPR, and additional medical support was dispatched to the scene. Despite these efforts, the male victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the female victim was transported to a nearby hospital where she later died from her injuries.
